The Storyboard feature in Pzaz helps you visually plan and organize your film’s key scenes. It enables you to break down each scene into individual shots, and represent them with images, drawings, or notes to create a clear visual reference for your production.
You’ll find the Storyboard feature in the new “Pre-production” section in the left-hand navigation menu. This is your one-stop hub for visual planning and shot organisation before the cameras start rolling.
You can get started with storyboarding in two flexible ways:
Upload your script, and Pzaz will automatically extract your scenes. Each scene becomes its own storyboard — ready for you to start adding individual shots, camera angles, and scene details. This option is perfect if you’re working from a fully written script and want to fast-track the visual planning process.
Prefer to start fresh? Create a custom storyboard and manually add scenes to it. This method is ideal for creatives working on experimental projects, documentaries, or multiple films within the same space.
Once your scenes are set, it’s time to dive into the details. Add as many shots as you need to each scene, and record the key production information that your crew will rely on during the shoot, such as:
Scene location
Time of day
Character dialogue
Shot details
Camera info
Angle
Movement
Shot size
Timing
Comments and notes
Each shot can be expanded and enriched with all the information you need to tell your story visually and effectively. Everything is saved and structured, so you can scroll through your storyboard and see all your scenes arranged in chronological order.
Pzaz Storyboard makes it easy to move from creative planning to practical production. By keeping your script, visual plan, and production notes in one place, you’ll save time, reduce errors, and improve collaboration with your team.
